It's phenomenally hot. Humid, heavy, sticky, exhausting, sickroom heat. I've been in the Sahara and Arabian deserts; this is worse - at least deserts are dry! A good thunderstorm to clear the air would be very welcome roundabout now.
I'm not getting much done in this but I'll try to update with some thoughts and plans as appropriate.

Wow. It's cold and rainy here. I hope your Irish heatwave soon moves eastward. Let me get my towel.
North-west Europe is like that - too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry, normally at least two of those at the same time, and frequently all four over the course of a single day!
What is it that they say about Germans and towels anyway? ;)
When we throw the towel, it means we call dibs on something...
